Sales Representative, Asia

We Offer…

An exciting role as Asian Sales Representative, based in Danbury, Connecticut in our Sales Department.

This function provides sales support in Asia and the United States.  This involves a range of activities including: 

  • At least three months minimum travel required in Asia.
  • Identifying and contacting prospective clients as well as servicing existing accounts.
  • Responsible for multinationals, including visiting purchasing, R&D, and creative for Flavor and Fragrance demonstrations.
  • Identify opportunities and execute strategy for growth as well as obtain competitive information.
  • Ensuring quality and consistency of service and product delivery.
  • Responsible for agents and customer visits, providing Flavor and Fragrance demonstrations.
  • Preparing a variety of status reports, including activity, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
  • Managing a defined customer base and developing new business opportunities.
  • Coordinate internally with the BRI Sales team and other departments.
  • Provide updates on special developments, information and feedback gathered through sales activity.

You Offer…

  • Experience and education in organic/specialty chemicals.
  • 3-5 years+ of experience that is directly related to flavor and fragrance sales.
  • Bachelor degree in a science field preferred.
  • Demonstrated use of excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong drive for results and customer focus.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent MS Office skills.

Reactor Room Chemist Level I

We Offer…

An exciting role as First or Second Shift Reactor Room Chemist Level I, based in Danbury, Connecticut.

This function provides processing operations related to production of organic chemicals using synthetic chemical methods and related support systems.  This involves a range of activities including: 

  • Sets up and adjusts chemical production equipment. Operates heating, cooling, and vacuum and pressure systems.
  • Transports, weighs, mixes, and pumps chemical materials.
  • Proper monitoring of processing steps to ensure product quality, lot consistency and yields.
  • May calculate materials needed for reaction.
  • Controls process parameters through proper adjustments of feed rates, cooling and/or heating.
  • Uses analytical equipment for assessing in-process and final product status. Understands principles of operation of the analytical equipment and, with supervision, interprets results.
  • May prepare test results or reports as directed.
  • Maintains an organized and clean work area.
  • May order equipment and/or raw materials.
  • Maintains all necessary production, safety, inventory, training and other records and/or logs as required, in written and/or computer format.
  • Complies with all BRI environmental and safety policies and procedures.

You Offer…

  • Knowledge of the principles and techniques of organic and analytical chemistry.
  • BS in Chemistry or related field and one to five years’ experience in chemical production work.
  • Ability to use interchangeably metric and U.S. standards of weights and measures and its application in determining molar quantities.
  • Knowledge of piping and valve operations to control processes.
  • Ability to conduct gas chromatographic analyses and interprets results.
  • Skill in the operation of chemical production equipment.
  • Skill in the use of physical and chemical analyses and interpretation of results.

Warehouse Supervisor

We Offer…

An exciting role as Warehouse Supervisor based in our Danbury, Connecticut Production Facility.

This function involves supervising the receiving and production warehouse functions.  Coordinating, organizing and maintaining the flow of materials, chemical and non-chemical, between all BRI buildings.  Organizing all warehouse space to ensure efficient staging of materials.

  • Maintains space, equipment and supplies; manages inventory with a goal of 100% accuracy. Conducts periodic inventory audits and reconciles physical counts.
  • Serves as a liaison with other departments in their resolution of administrative material movement and operational issues.
  • Recommend design changes to buildings to better accommodate efficient flow of materials.
  • Develops and implements improved methods of materials handling and stock control to promote efficiency, services and reduced costs.
  • May perform and oversee receiving samples of inbound chemical shipments.
  • Confirmation of weight of chemical shipments when necessary.
  • Transportation of raw materials and finished chemicals between buildings.
  • Proper use of propane forklift and supply of propane tanks.
  • Coordinate shipments of hazardous waste.
  • Maintain scale verifications.
  • Maintain all necessary logs.

You Offer…

  • Minimum of five years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities indicated.
  • A solid knowledge of health, safety and regulatory related issues, and a broad overview of their relationship to shipping & receiving. Knowledge of national and international shipping regulations.
  • Lean six sigma experience.
  • Knowledge of light equipment operation and/or maintenance.
  • General computer knowledge i.e.: windows, word, etc.
  • Forklift Certification.
  • Haz Mat Certified/CD Rom Training.
  • Operates loading/unloading equipment, postal and/or commercial shipping computer and appropriate software.
  • General basic mechanical skills.
  • Attention to detail. Ability to comply with industry regulations.
