BedoukianBio Sponsors “Frontiers in Chemical Ecology” Symposium

BedoukianBio is thrilled to sponsor the Frontiers in Chemical Ecology Symposium scheduled for August 9, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. US Pacific Time (8:00 a.m., Wednesday August 10th local time) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This symposium may be attended virtually for free by registering at https://bit.ly/3uA7xe0

The Symposium is part of the joint meeting of the International Society of Chemical Ecology (ISCE) and the Asia-Pacific Association of Chemical Ecologists (APACE) from August 8-12 (isceapacejointmeeting.com) and it provides the platform for chemical ecologists and scientists, driven by olfaction and olfactory research, to discuss various advances in key sectors such as ecological, agricultural and medical sectors. Walter Leal, who initiated the concept of the symposium and sponsorship, notes, “The symposium will not only highlight rising stars in chemical ecology but help democratize participation in chemical ecology meetings. We already have about 300 registrants, many coming from countries that have never sent a representative to a chemical ecology meeting including Benin, Croatia, Ethiopia, Ghana, Iraq, Jordan, Mozambique, Nepal, Sudan, and more.”

BedoukianBio, based in Danbury CT has been a leader in pheromone and biochemicals for decades and is very much integrated into the subjects to be presented at the symposium. Because of that, BedoukianBio agreed to initially provide some funds to sponsor the event. However, after recently increasing its donation, BedoukianBio has become the sole sponsor for the event.

“The event is of critical importance to the future health of our planet,” comments Robert Bedoukian of BedoukianBio. “It is therefore important that everyone who studies, teaches and conducts research in chemical ecology participate in this symposium. BedoukianBio’s sponsorship has made it possible for anyone interested in participating in the event to participate for free. Attendees also do not have to travel to Malaysia to participate as we anticipate nearly 50% of attendees, including all of the presenters, to join remotely.”
