What is a semiochemical?
A semiochemical (semeon means a signal in Greek) is a generic term used for a chemical substance or mixture that carries a message. These chemicals act as messengers within or between species. It is commonly used in the field of chemical ecology and includes pheromones, allomones, kairomones, attractants and repellents.
How do I search for a product?
At the top of every page is a search box where keywords can be typed to list specific products matching that search. An Advanced Search can also be conducted which allows you to search by BRI Product Code, Target insect (common name or Latin name), registration status, and more. Finally, we have our i-Catalog which is a fun way to identify BedoukianBio products that meet your needs.
What is the best way to find a product that meets my needs?
Try using our i-Catalog. It lets you search using a variety of criteria to identify the BedoukianBio products that best meet your needs.
How do I find a product by CAS #?
Type the CAS Number in the search box at the top of each page or on the Advanced Search page.
Once you find the product that interests you, you can print a product technical data sheet and you can also print the Structures, Chromatograms, MSDS, and Registration Labels for the product.
How do I find Specifications, (M)SDS, Registered Label, etc. for a product?
You can use our Advance Search function to find products in our database. The Advanced Search feature lets you find specific products using a variety of criteria. You may also use our i-Catalog to find products that meet your criteria.
Once you find the product that interests you, you can print a product technical data sheet and you can also print the Structures, Chromatograms, (M)SDS, and Registration Labels for the product.
What can I do if I don’t find the product I’m looking for?
First, try using our i-Catalog to find products that best meet your search criteria. If you still are unable to locate a product to meet your needs, please reach out to our Customer Service Department using our General Inquiry form.
What steps are taken to ensure quality?
Each batch of material is meticulously checked for compliance with specifications. For registered pheromones, this includes any impurity over 0.1% which must be identified, described and held to the region’s requirements.
What is a Foreign Purchaser Acknowledgement Statement (FPAS)?
A signed foreign purchaser acknowledgment statement (FPAS) is required for purchases of pheromones and other semiochemicals not registered with the US EPA and intended solely for export to a foreign country (including research substances that are being exported for testing). The FPAS is an acknowledgment that the purchaser understands that the material is not registered for use in the U. S. and cannot be sold in the United States.
How do I request a quote?
Please complete the Quote Request and list the products you have an interest in as well as the related quantities. To receive quotes for multiple volumes, simply add the item again as many times as needed to account for each quantity of interest.
When you have completed the form, submit it. Our Customer Service team will review your request and respond with a quote.
Who may place an order?
We only sell to businesses, universities and other institutions. We will not sell or ship directly to individuals.
What are your payment terms?
Following credit approval, Net 30 days from the date of invoice.

How do I place an order?
Contact our Customer Service Department directly to place an order. Our Customer Service Department is available via email at [email protected] or by calling (203) 830-4000 Monday thru Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.
How do you ship my order?
Shipments are made from Danbury, CT by common carrier, as we, in our sole judgment, may deem appropriate. In general, US domestic shipments are by Federal Express or UPS Ground and export shipments are by Federal Express Air.
How quickly will I receive my order?
Stock orders will typically be processed and shipped within two to three business days. Many of our semiochemical products are multi-step syntheses and made to order so the lead-time will vary. The Customer Service Department will provide your delivery date when your order is confirmed.
What is your return policy?
Returned goods must be authorized by our Customer Service Department. You can contact our customer service department at [email protected]. Requests for returns must be received within 14 days of product receipt. We do not accept broken containers, materials involved in a bankruptcy sale or deteriorated due to improper storage, heat or cold. Goods may not be returned for credit unless approved by Customer Service, and then only in strict compliance with return shipment instructions.
